No pause, this is finally the Tesla for me. I test drove the S no less than three times with my CFO (aka my wife 😉) and son, and while my son and I loved it to bits, my wife correctly pointed out that it was 4x what we’d ever paid for a new car and we needed either a compact or an SUV, not an ego-mobile. Damn I hate it when she’s right!
So the Model X is actually perfect for us (to replace my current Evoque) but it’s sooo expensive! My son and I rented one for a week on Turo.com while visiting in the Bay Area and had an absolute blast. But yeah, so many $$$, especially when converted to AUD!
The Model 3 is still more than we’ve ever paid for a new car (it’ll replace a Golf Tdi) but it is a similar car at least and I’m sure we’ll benefit from the lower operating cost and it will be awesome to drive.
Re: fingers missing targets, Tesla needs to license Apple’s Taptic Engine tech to add some tactile response to that vast expanse of glass.
