I don’t think GST is a significant factor. Most of the GST that will be paid in Australia by overseas tech companies in 2016 will be paid by Google, Apple and Microsoft. If you’re running a startup that aims to compete with Google, the fact you have to pay GST isn’t really your biggest problem. Your problem is charging at windmills.
