Encryption, Hyperloop One and StartupHub

One Sunday morning each month I’m going to be on ABC2’s Weekend Breakfast talking technology. This Sunday past was my first segment. We talked about:

• The Australian Federal Government’s recent announcement that it would seek to force tech companies offering end-to-end encrypted messaging products to give them access to messages;
• The news that Hyperloop One had successfully tested its prototype on a 100m test track, and how Hyperloop works; and
• The news last week that the NSW State Government was planning to invest AUD35M into establishing Startup Hub, a large coworking and incubator space above Wynyard Railway Station in Sydney’s CBD.
